Dr. Ravinder Singh, OAGS President (Apr/25)

(download original e-update)
Dear Colleagues,

I hope everyone is doing well.

It was a ‘1980’s’ winter this year, but spring is finally here.

Congratulations to our OAGS Resident Research Grant winner Dr. Fay Alresaini, PGY4 McMasterU on her project utilizing AI:  Artificial Intelligence to Predict Malignancy in Indeterminate Thyroid Cytology (details).  Incidentally, we will try to highlight some AI that is relevant to general surgery practices at our own meeting this fall.

The OAGS Board is planning our 2025 OAGS Surgical Symposium in November. So, please send feedback and suggestions before May 3 (next board meeting) as we try to finalize topics/speakers. I look forward to hearing from everyone so we can put on another amazing symposium this year.

The Canadian federal election has been called, and I would encourage everyone to get out and vote!

Best for the coming months!

Ravinder Singh
