Objective/Purpose: Sunnybrook Research Institute is conducting a study exploring the personality traits of staff general surgeons in Ontario and their relationship with care outcomes and healthcare resource use. Research is needed to better understand how different surgeon personalities can influence their clinical decision-making process, risk tolerance, and how that translates into care quality and costs. This will be the first study internationally to examine this and should improve our collective understanding of surgeon attributes and their potential implications for patients....Participation in this study may require the collection of the participant’s OHIP billing number.

– Copy of your hospital/academic Research Ethics Board approval

Review:
Your package will be forwarded to the OAGS Research Committee for review and final approval before promotions begin.

Cost:
Please note that we usually only post/circulate surveys that are lead/promoted by our own current OAGS MEMBERS for FREE (Ontario) throughout the fiscal year. Otherwise, there is a calendar quarterly fee of $350. In both cases, your request MUST be approved by the OAGS Research Committee.

Distribution:
Upon approval of the OAGS Research Committee, your survey will be posted on our website on this page, all 6 social media channels and if it’s received in time, included in the quarterly e-update to members.  We do not divulge our contact list, nor do we send a dedicated email, unless otherwise directed by the committee depending on the content relevance.
