This is an opportunity to practice true Community General Surgery, with an expanding range of cases. C-section training and experience required. The presence of a full time Internist on-site, as well as involvement with the Virtual Critical Care (VCC) program in Sudbury, allows for the care of patients with some comorbidities, through more complex medical patients are referred.

Office sharing is an option, including use of existing EMR and administrative staff in the current surgical office if desired. Teaching opportunities are readily available with on-site NOSM medical students and family practice residents, as well as possible future links with the NOSM General Surgery residency program. Faculty appointment is available through NOSM.

Kapuskasing is a true northern Ontario community, with ample options for year-round outdoor recreation in a beautiful setting. The practice can be tailored to allow for excellent work-life balance. With a large francophone community, French language ability is an asset but not necessary. We offer a generous incentive package, including assistance with relocation.
