The successful candidate will join a highly motivated Colorectal Surgery Group within a shared practice exclusively managing colorectal pathology. Within the practice, the group shares referrals and waitlists; each member has equal access to clinic, endoscopy and operating room resources; and each member is eligible for protected academic time (up to 1 week per month). The candidate will also be provided mentorship and/or training in robotic surgery, as this is the primary surgical approach for the group. Qualified applicants will hold an MD degree (or equivalent), have completed an accredited colorectal fellowship prior to appointment, and have or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The successful candidate will be expected to have clinical expertise in managing complex colorectal pathology. Preference will be given to candidates with an advanced degree. Applicants must possess advanced minimally invasive skills, including (but not limited to): robotic or advanced laparoscopic surgery, Transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) or Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEMS), and Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (taTME). Other: The Division of General Surgery at Windsor Regional Hospital is inviting applications for a full-time General Surgeon to join its team at the Ouellette Campus, currently a team of 6 general surgeons . The call schedule and availability of elective OR, and Endoscopy, time will be discussed with the successful candidate. On call expectation is to be 1 in 7. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the Trauma Team On-Call service, and Inpatient Trauma Service. The Inpatient Trauma Service is complimented by a dedicated NP, who also assists with rounding. Expertise in breast surgery and laparoscopic PD catheter insertion preferable. WRH also has an affiliation with the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. Position available ASAP.

Other: The Department of General Surgery is seeking locum weekend (once per month) and vacation call coverage effective immediately. This opportunity will continue until we identify the right candidate for a permanent position that is currently vacant. As a small community hospital 1 hour east of Toronto we offer broad general surgery services to the community including endoscopy and an ambulatory clinic for minor procedures. We have excellent anesthesia support, a 6 bed ICU and a strong radiology department. Our centre also offers regular opportunities to teach medical students from Queen’s University.
